Privacy Policy

When you use WayLoo, we may collect the following information:

• Location data — Your precise device location is used to show nearby restrooms on the map and to provide turn-by-turn navigation. Location is processed on-device and is not stored on our servers.
• Account information — If you create an account, we store your email address, display name, and a unique user ID for authentication purposes.
• User-generated content — Restroom locations, ratings, reviews, and verification data you voluntarily submit.
• Health & accessibility preferences — If you use the "My Needs" feature, health-related preferences (such as mobility needs or medical conditions) are stored locally on your device in the iOS Keychain. This data is never transmitted to our servers.

Creating an account is optional. You can browse the map and view restroom locations without registering. If you choose to create an account, you may sign in via:

• Email & password — Managed by our backend service.
• Sign in with Apple — Processed by Apple Inc. Subject to Apple's Privacy Policy.
• Sign in with Google — Processed by Google LLC. Subject to Google's Privacy Policy.

Your email is used solely for login and account recovery. We never share it with third parties for marketing.

WayLoo Pro is an optional auto-renewing subscription that unlocks premium features such as offline maps, advanced filters, and navigation Live Activities. Subscriptions are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store and by Google through Google Play. We never see or store your payment details (credit card numbers, billing address, etc.).

Subscription management — including purchases, renewals, and cancellations — is handled by RevenueCat, which acts as our subscription infrastructure provider. RevenueCat receives an anonymous app user ID and purchase receipt data from the platform; no personal information is shared with them.

We use the following third-party services to operate the app:

• MapTiler — Provides map tiles. Your device loads tiles directly from MapTiler servers, which may log IP addresses per their privacy policy.
• OSRM (Open Source Routing Machine) — Provides route geometry for navigation. Route requests include only origin and destination coordinates, no personal data.
• RevenueCat — Manages subscription entitlements as described above.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.

Your account session (JWT tokens) is stored securely in the iOS Keychain, encrypted at rest by the operating system. Restroom data is cached locally on your device to enable offline access for Pro users. All network communication with our backend uses HTTPS encryption.

You can delete any restroom pins you created at any time from within the app. To delete your entire account and all associated data, use the "Delete account" button in the app's Settings screen. This permanently removes your profile, contributions, and reviews from our servers.

WayLoo is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will promptly remove it.

With your consent, we use TelemetryDeck GmbH, Germany, to measure visits to our restroom pages and map, and actions such as opening directions or app-store links. The purpose is to understand and improve the website. Consent is the basis for optional analytics storage and related data processing. Refusing consent has no effect on access to the website or map.

Events contain the page path and type, the city or area represented by the page, the referring website's hostname, campaign source and medium, and a random visit identifier with a hashed user identifier. We do not send account details, precise device location, search queries or full referrer URLs. The identifiers are specific to a short browser-tab visit and are not linked to your app account.

We use browser storage rather than analytics cookies:

• Choice preference (local storage) — wayloo.analytics.consent records whether you allowed or rejected analytics, the notice version and the time of your choice. It is valid for six months for either choice. This necessary preference is used only to remember your decision.
• Visit and attribution (session storage) — loocation.seo.visit and loocation.seo.attribution are created and read only after consent. They have a 30-minute validity period, are stored within the browser tab, and are removed when you close that tab or withdraw consent.

TelemetryDeck receives the events over HTTPS and states that its analytics infrastructure is hosted in the EU and that it does not store IP addresses. Your IP address is necessarily available when your browser connects to the service. According to its Privacy FAQ, statistical events can remain in long-term storage with no fixed deletion schedule; the 30-minute browser validity period does not delete events already sent.

You can change or withdraw consent at any time through Analytics settings in the footer of any page. Withdrawal stops further analytics and removes the visit and attribution records from the current tab. Other open tabs stop sending events when they receive the changed preference. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing before it. We also respect the browser's Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control preferences. If browser storage is unavailable, your choice applies only to the current page.

To exercise applicable rights of access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or objection, contact us at the address above. You can lodge a complaint with the Czech Office for Personal Data Protection (ÚOOÚ). Website analytics is optional, is not required by law or contract, and is not used for advertising or automated decisions about you.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the bottom of this page reflects when the latest changes were made. If we materially change the purpose or provider of optional website analytics, we will ask for fresh consent before activating the changed analytics.
