Terms of Service

Rules for using WayLoo, contributing restroom data, how we moderate content, and purchases.

01

Who we are

The WayLoo app (called LooCation until October 2026, also known as UrinoMAPA) and the website urinomapa.com (together the “Service”) are run by Tadeáš Urbánek, K Hřebčinci 330, 530 03 Pardubice, Czech Republic (“we”). Contact: support@urinomapa.com.

02

Acceptance

By using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you create an account or post content, you confirm that you have read them. How we handle personal data is described in the Privacy Policy.

03

Who can use WayLoo

You must be at least 16 years old to create an account, post content or use My Needs. If you are under 18, a parent or legal guardian must agree to these Terms on your behalf.

04

The Service

WayLoo shows public and other restrooms on a map, based on contributions from users and on open data such as OpenStreetMap. You can browse the map without an account. With an account you can add restrooms, write reviews, verify restrooms, propose edits and report content.

The information comes from the community and may be inaccurate, outdated or incomplete: a restroom may be closed, paid or missing. Always use your own judgement, especially in urgent situations. Features such as “ostomy-friendly” or “wheelchair accessible” and the My Needs filters are information, not medical advice.

05

Your account

Keep your sign-in details to yourself. You are responsible for what is posted from your account. One account per person. You can delete your account at any time in the app under Settings → Delete account.

06

Content rules

Restrooms, names, notes, reviews and reports you post must be truthful and lawful. You must not post:

  • illegal content of any kind;
  • hate speech, harassment, threats or content that attacks people for who they are;
  • sexual, pornographic or violent content;
  • personal data of other people (names, phone numbers, photos, descriptions of identifiable people) without their consent;
  • false or misleading restrooms or information, including locations you have not been to or deliberately wrong details;
  • spam, advertising or links;
  • content that infringes copyright or other rights of others;
  • content that impersonates another person.

You must not manipulate the Service, for example with fake accounts, fake reviews or verifications, or reports made in bad faith, and you must not attack, overload or reverse-engineer the Service or its API.

07

How we moderate content

  • Automated check: before publication, names and notes of restrooms, edit proposals, review comments and display names are checked by an automated system (Claude by Anthropic) for hate speech, explicit content, threats and spam. Flagged text is not published and you see a message. If the check is unavailable, the content is held back until a person reviews it.
  • Reports: anyone can report content (see section 08). A restroom reported by three different users is hidden automatically until we review it.
  • Human review: reports and held-back content are reviewed by the operator. We aim to deal with reports of objectionable content within 24 hours.
  • Measures: we may reject, hide or delete content, and for repeated or serious violations suspend or delete the account.
  • Blocking: you can block a user in the app. Their content is then hidden for you, and we are notified so that we can check the account.
08

Reporting illegal or objectionable content

Anyone, with or without an account, can tell us about content they consider illegal or against these Terms: use Report in the app, or e-mail support@urinomapa.com with the subject “Content report”. An e-mail notice should include:

  1. why you believe the content is illegal or against these Terms;
  2. where exactly it is: the restroom's name and location or the review, ideally with a screenshot;
  3. your name and e-mail address (not required when reporting child sexual abuse material);
  4. a statement that the notice is accurate and complete to the best of your knowledge.

We confirm e-mail notices without undue delay, review them carefully and objectively, and tell you our decision and how you can challenge it. We also tell you if the decision was made with automated means. If content suggests a threat to someone's life or safety, we inform the competent authorities.

09

Decisions about your content and how to challenge them

If a person on our side removes or hides your content or restricts your account, we e-mail you the reasons at the address of your account, unless we have no way to contact you. A restroom hidden automatically after three reports is reviewed first, and you get the e-mail once the decision is made. We tell you what we decided, the facts, the rule or law it is based on, whether automated means were used, and how you can challenge it.

You can challenge any decision, including a decision on your report, by writing to support@urinomapa.com within six months. A person will review it and we will tell you the result. You can also go to court at any time.

10

Point of contact

The single point of contact for users and for authorities under the EU Digital Services Act is support@urinomapa.com. You can write to us in Czech or English.

11

Your content

You keep the rights to what you post. By posting, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, display, adapt (for example translate or shorten) and distribute it within the Service. You can delete your restrooms and reviews in the app. When you delete your account, your reviews are deleted and the restrooms you added stay on the map without your name. The licence continues for those restrooms.

12

Purchases

Everything you need to find a restroom is free. From version 3.0 the app offers only tips, and the former WayLoo Pro filters and the emergency Live Activity are free for everyone. Older versions of the app may still offer WayLoo Pro, which unlocks extra features such as offline maps, premium filters and the emergency Live Activity. These rules apply to all purchases:

  • Lifetime: a one-time purchase, not a subscription. Pro stays unlocked for the Apple ID or Google account you bought it with, and you can restore it with “Restore purchases”.
  • Weekly or monthly subscription (where offered in the app): the price and period are shown before you buy. Payment is charged to your Apple ID or Google Play account when you confirm the purchase. The subscription renews automatically at the same price unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and the renewal is charged within the 24 hours before the period ends. Cancelling stops the next renewal; Pro stays active until the end of the paid period. Manage or cancel it on iPhone in Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions, or in the Google Play app under Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions. If a free trial is offered, it turns into a paid subscription at its end unless you cancel it before.
  • Tips: voluntary one-time payments that support development. They unlock no features. Your display name appears on the public Wall of Fame.

Prices are shown in your local currency by the App Store or Google Play. Payments and refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their terms. This does not affect your mandatory rights as a consumer.

Right of withdrawal: Pro and tips are digital content delivered immediately. By completing the purchase you ask for immediate delivery and acknowledge that you thereby lose the 14-day right of withdrawal under EU consumer law. You can still ask Apple or Google for a refund under their rules.

Out-of-court dispute resolution: if you are a consumer and we cannot resolve a complaint together, you can turn to the Czech Trade Inspection Authority (Česká obchodní inspekce), adr.coi.cz.

13

Disclaimer and liability

The Service is provided “as is”. We do our best to keep it working and accurate but cannot guarantee that it will always be available or that the restroom information is correct.

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect damage or for damage caused by relying on information contributed by users. This does not limit liability that cannot be limited by law, in particular for intentional or grossly negligent conduct or for harm to life and health.

14

Suspension and termination

We may suspend or delete accounts that seriously or repeatedly break these Terms. We tell you the reasons as described in section 09. You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time.

15

Changes to these Terms

We will tell you about material changes in the app or on this website before they take effect. If you don't agree with the changes, you can delete your account before then. The date of the current version is below.

16

Governing law

These Terms are governed by Czech law. If you are a consumer living in another EU country, you keep the protection of the mandatory rules of your country and can bring a claim before the courts there.

Data sources and licences

Besides contributions from users, the restroom database contains data from these sources:

We have adapted and combined the data (for example merged duplicates and converted coordinates). Map backgrounds carry their own attribution in the map.
